Emerging on Instagram and Pinterest in the mid-2010s and surging during the 2020 lockdowns when indoor nurturing offered a sense of purpose, the look pairs interior styling — plant-filled apartments, terracotta pots, woven baskets, macramé hangers, propagation stations — with a comfortable, function-led wardrobe of dungarees, mom jeans, oversized knits, linen sets and easy sneakers or sandals.
