Sigilkore is the experimental microgenre of trap music and accompanying internet aesthetic that emerged on SoundCloud in the late 2010s, pioneered by collective Jewelxxet and artists like Luci4 (Axxturel) and islurwhenitalk. The name refers to sigils — symbols historically used in magic and occult practice — which function as visual incantations in both artwork and lyrics. Visually it's digital maximalism: dense, layered, chaotic compositions featuring central anime or video-game characters that are heavily colour-shifted and surrounded by occult sigils, crosses, pentagrams, stars, jewels and angelic wings, often rendered in early-internet glitter-graphic (Blingee) style. The fashion ripple effect manifested in occult-streetwear pieces — sigil-print hoodies, accessories layered with crosses and chains — that blend the genre's dark aesthetic with Y2K and goth styles in online merch communities.
