Techwear is performance-derived urban fashion — high-spec technical fabrics, modular construction, monochrome palette and a sci-fi militaristic silhouette language. It draws from outdoor and military performance gear (Gore-Tex shells, ripstop, Cordura) but recontextualises those materials for urban wear. The aesthetic emerged from a combination of Acronym's design language, post-cyberpunk visual culture and the broader 2010s normalisation of technical fabric in everyday clothes.

Not Gorpcore — Techwear is urban/sci-fi/militaristic with monochrome palette; Gorpcore is alpine-trail-coloured with brand patches and outdoor lineage. Buckles + black = Techwear; coloured fleece = Gorpcore.
