E-Boy (electronic boy) is a TikTok-era male fashion archetype that crystallised in 2019 and 2020 alongside the parallel E-Girl trend, describing young men whose visual codes pulled from emo, K-pop, anime, and skater scenes into a single screen-native look. The wardrobe leans on a striped long-sleeve under a graphic short-sleeve tee, slim or baggy black jeans, chain necklaces (often with cross or ring pendants), painted black nails, bleached or dyed hair worn with a centre-parted curtained fringe, eyeliner, multiple ear piercings, and Vans or Doc Martens. The signature TikTok pose involves a tilted head, a hand to the face, and a deliberate eye-roll. Musically: Lil Peep, $uicideboy$, broader emo rap, plus K-pop boy groups whose visuals overlap. The look has clear DNA with Soft Boy (parallel sensitive-male era), with Visual Kei (Japanese androgynous performance lineage), with Emo (the through-line emotional register), and with Femboy (the related painted-nails-and-eyeliner permission). E-Boy is treated by its participants both as authentic identity and as TikTok-trend pose; the visual continues to be standard issue across alt-male TikTok in 2025.
