About

Forestcore is an internet aesthetic inspired by woodland themes — dense forests, deep earthy colours and a darker, more atmospheric connection to nature than its sibling Cottagecore. Where Cottagecore romanticises the picturesque rural cottage with sunshine, florals and feminine sweetness, Forestcore leans into the moody, mystical and ungroomed end of the woodland spectrum: cabins, overcast skies, mossy clearings, mushrooms, fog, candlelight. The aesthetic is more gender-neutral than Cottagecore. Wardrobe pieces include layered earth-tone knits, brown corduroy or wool trousers, botanical-print dresses, chunky cardigans, capes and cloaks (especially green and brown), hiking boots, lace-up leather boots and natural-fibre fabrics.

Not Cottagecore — Forestcore leans moody, darker and more woodland-mystical; Cottagecore leans bright, romantic and rural-domestic.
