How Shopfront cross-lists to EtsyFAQs about selling on Etsy
What does Etsy charge sellers?
Four fees layered together: the 6.5% transaction fee on item plus shipping, a $0.20 listing fee per item (valid 4 months or until it sells), payment processing of 3% + $0.25 (US, regional rates elsewhere), and Offsite Ads at 12% (over $10K turnover) or 15% (otherwise) if Etsy drove the sale via an external ad placement. The Regulatory Operating Fee adds a small percentage in jurisdictions with digital-services taxes.
What's the Etsy Offsite Ads fee?
If Etsy drives a sale through one of its external ad placements (Google, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest), Etsy charges a percentage of the sale — 12% if your shop made over $10K in the last 12 months, or 15% otherwise. Below $10K you can opt out; above, the programme is mandatory.
Does Etsy charge a listing fee even if nothing sells?
Yes — $0.20 per listing when you publish it, charged regardless of whether the item sells. The listing stays active for four months or until it sells, after which renewal costs another $0.20.
What's the Regulatory Operating Fee on Etsy?
A small percentage Etsy adds to seller fees in jurisdictions that levy digital-services taxes — currently the UK, parts of the EU, India and a few others. The percentage varies by country. The Etsy fee calculator handles it automatically when you set the regulatory region.
Can vintage resellers use Etsy?
Yes — Etsy's vintage category is for items 20+ years old. Anything newer needs to be either handmade by you, made-to-order, or a craft supply. Pure resale of new/recent secondhand fashion belongs on Depop, Vinted, eBay or Grailed, not Etsy.
How does Shopfront connect to Etsy?
Shopfront syncs Etsy listings with your other channels — push existing handmade or vintage stock from Etsy to a Shopify storefront, or cross-list vintage finds from Etsy to eBay and Depop without re-keying.
