Balletcore broke into the mainstream in late 2022, anchored by Miu Miu's Fall 2022 collection, which paired pointe-shoe-pink satin flats with cardigans and pleated skirts. The wardrobe pulls from rehearsal and performance equally: wrap-front cardigans, slim leotards under sheer skirts, tulle midi skirts, leg warmers slouched over loafers, ribbon-tied flats, pearl-strung buns. The dominant palette is pink and cream with black accents.
