Of the tools we compare ourselves against, Crosslist is the one where switching costs you the most coverage. It reaches eleven or more marketplaces. Shopfront reaches six.
So this guide spends its first section talking you out of it, because for a good number of Crosslist sellers that is the honest answer. If you get past that section, the move itself is straightforward.

Start here: six marketplaces do not come with you
Crosslist lists to Poshmark, Vinted, Mercari, Whatnot, Etsy and WooCommerce. Shopfront lists to none of them, and there is no setting that changes that.
Shopfront covers one Crosslist does not — Vestiaire Collective — so the trade is six marketplaces for one, plus whatever you make of the differences in AI, pricing and sold-item handling.
Before anything else, pull your last three months of sales and sort them by marketplace. If a meaningful share came through those six, stop reading. Crosslist is the right tool for that catalogue and the Crosslist alternative page will not change that either.
If your sales sit inside eBay, Depop, Grailed, Shopify, Facebook Marketplace and Vestiaire Collective, carry on.
One wrinkle worth knowing if you sell outside the United States: several of the marketplaces Crosslist adds do not operate in every market. Vinted trades in Australia, but Poshmark and Mercari do not, so the coverage gap that looks like six marketplaces on paper may be smaller in practice where you sell. Step 1: Connect your marketplaces
Shopfront lists to six: eBay, Depop, Grailed, Shopify, Facebook Marketplace and Vestiaire Collective. Connect the ones you sell on first, because the importer reads through those connections.
Facebook Marketplace works differently from the other five. It has no public API, so Shopfront dispatches every list and delist through a Chrome extension running in your own browser rather than on a server. Facebook actions need your browser open.
Step 2: Import from one marketplace, not several
Shopfront imports live listings from eBay, Depop, Grailed and Shopify, with photos and details.
Note where it reads from: the marketplaces, not Crosslist. You are not exporting anything out of Crosslist, and Crosslist’s own one-click import is irrelevant here — it pulls listings into Crosslist, which is the opposite direction.
If you have been crosslisting, the same products are already mirrored across several channels. Import from one only — usually eBay, since it tends to hold the fullest descriptions. Importing the same products again from a second channel is how people end up with a duplicated catalogue on their first day.
Try it on a small batch first. Connect one marketplace, import a handful of items and check them against what is live. Start your free trial — and note that you cannot run the same experiment in reverse, for the reason in step 5.
Step 3: Rebuild Facebook and Vestiaire
Shopfront lists to Facebook Marketplace and Vestiaire Collective but cannot read existing listings back from either.
For Vestiaire this is moot if you are coming from Crosslist, since Crosslist does not reach Vestiaire at all — anything you list there will be new. For Facebook, your products are already in Shopfront after step 2, so you are publishing them outward rather than retyping them. You will lose the listing age on the old Facebook posts, so decide whether to pull them down or let them run until they sell.
Step 4: Sort out sold-item handling before you switch anything off
Two tools both detecting sales and delisting against the same marketplace is how an item gets pulled while it is still for sale, or stays live after it has sold.
Check which Crosslist plan you are on first. Crosslist lists automatic delisting as included on its Gold and Diamond plans; its lower tiers do not list it as included. If you have been on a lower tier, there may be nothing to turn off — you have been delisting by hand, and Shopfront running sale detection on every plan is a change in your favour rather than an overlap to manage.
Before you switch anything off:
- Every product you expected is in Shopfront, once — not twice.
- Photos came across in order, and the first one is the thumbnail you want.
- Prices match what is live now.
- Sizes, brands and conditions survived. Spot-check ten items rather than trusting the total.
- Anything that failed to import has been dealt with rather than quietly dropped.
Then move one marketplace at a time: turn Crosslist’s automation off for a channel, confirm Shopfront is handling it, then move to the next.
Step 5: Cancel Crosslist, and mind the refund window
Crosslist’s terms are unusual enough to plan around.
There is no free trial. Instead Crosslist offers a three-day money-back guarantee, and that guarantee is void once you have created twenty listings. Annual refunds have a $9.99 processing fee deducted.
The practical consequence is that Crosslist is difficult to evaluate cheaply, and it cuts both ways: if you are still deciding, run your trial on the Shopfront side, where testing is free and creating listings does not forfeit anything.
If you are already a paying Crosslist customer the refund window has long closed, so cancelling early wins you nothing back — but it does not cost you anything either. Crosslist’s own documentation says a cancelled subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period, so you keep the access you have paid for.
What that means in practice: work at the pace of your verification, but cancel before the next renewal date rather than after it. Drifting past renewal buys another full period you did not want, and there is no refund for it.
Take a copy of your catalogue before you go, too. Crosslist documents importing listings from CSV rather than exporting them out, so do not assume a one-click backup is waiting — if your item notes, costs or SKUs live only in Crosslist, get them out by whatever means it offers while your account is still active.
Common snags
A duplicated catalogue. Almost always from importing the same products out of two marketplaces. Import from one, confirm, then publish outward from Shopfront.
Facebook listings not going out. Those actions run through the Chrome extension in your browser. If it is not installed or the browser is closed, they wait.
Expecting your Poshmark or Vinted listings to appear. They will not. Shopfront does not connect to those marketplaces at all, so they are untouched — still live, still yours, still managed in Crosslist.
