Most migration guides open with an export step. This one does not need one, though you should still take your records with you.
Shopfront does not read a Vendoo export. Your listings are marketplace records, not Vendoo records — they live on eBay, Depop, Grailed and the rest, and Shopfront reads those marketplaces directly. So moving across means reconnecting your channels and importing what is already live, with Vendoo never in the middle of it.
Vendoo does have a CSV export, and it is worth using before you leave. It carries your sales, costs, fees and profit history, which is accounting data rather than listing data — nothing imports it for you, and you will want it at tax time. Download it while your account is still active.
That makes the actual work smaller than most people expect, and it moves the hard part somewhere else: deciding whether you should switch at all.

Before you start: the question that decides it
Vendoo reaches four marketplaces Shopfront does not — Poshmark, Mercari, Etsy and Whatnot. It also covers every channel Shopfront lists to.
So this is not a coverage upgrade. It is a trade. Work out where your sales actually came from over the last three months before you do anything else.
If a meaningful share came through Poshmark, Mercari, Etsy or Whatnot, stop here. Shopfront cannot list to those marketplaces, and no amount of setup will change that. Vendoo is the right tool for that catalogue and you should stay on it.
One thing that often settles it early: Vendoo’s own documentation concedes that marketplace access outside the United States is limited, and Poshmark and Mercari do not operate everywhere either. If you sell from outside the US, check which of its ten-plus marketplaces you can actually reach before treating that count as a like-for-like number.

Step 1: Connect your marketplaces
Shopfront lists to six marketplaces: eBay, Depop, Grailed, Shopify, Facebook Marketplace and Vestiaire Collective. Connect the ones you sell on before importing anything, because the importer reads through those connections.
One thing to know about Facebook Marketplace. It has no public API, so Shopfront dispatches every list and delist through a Chrome extension running in your own browser rather than server-side. That means Facebook actions need your browser open, which is a genuine difference from the other five channels rather than a detail to skim past.
Step 2: Import your live listings
Shopfront imports existing listings from eBay, Depop, Grailed and Shopify. Photos and listing details come across with them.
If you have been crosslisting through Vendoo, the same products are probably mirrored across several of those channels already. You do not need to import from all of them. Pick the channel holding your fullest, best-described catalogue — for most sellers that is eBay — and import from that one. Importing the same products a second time from a second channel is the most common way people end up with a duplicated catalogue on day one.

Step 3: Rebuild what does not import
Shopfront lists to Facebook Marketplace and Vestiaire Collective, but it cannot read existing listings back from either. There is no import path for those two.
In practice this is less work than it sounds. Once your products are in Shopfront from step 2, you list them out to Facebook and Vestiaire from inside Shopfront. You are not retyping anything — you are publishing products you already have to two more channels. What you will lose is the listing history on the old Facebook and Vestiaire posts, so decide whether to take those down or leave them running until they sell.
Step 4: Check the import before you cancel anything
This is the step people skip, and it is the one that costs money.
Both tools detect sales and delist automatically, and pointing both at the same marketplace means two systems acting on one listing — which is how an item ends up delisted while it is still for sale, or still live after it has sold.
Vendoo’s sale detection is worth understanding properly before you rely on it either way. Its help pages label the feature BETA and list it for eBay, Poshmark, Mercari, Depop and Whatnot only — so if you sell on Grailed, Shopify, Facebook Marketplace or Vestiaire Collective through Vendoo, sales there are not being detected at all. It also runs in your browser: in Vendoo’s own words, “your computer must be turned on and connected to the marketplaces” for it to work, scanning every ten minutes. Shopfront runs sale detection on every plan, on a schedule set by your plan.
That difference matters during a migration, because a channel Vendoo was never watching is a channel where nothing changes when you switch.
Work through this before you switch anything off:
- Every product you expected is in Shopfront, once — not twice.
- Photos came across in the right order, and the first image is the one you want as the thumbnail.
- Prices match what is currently live on the marketplace, not what you paid.
- Sizes, brands and conditions survived the import. Spot-check ten items rather than trusting a total count.
- Anything that failed to import is dealt with, rather than quietly missing.
Then move one marketplace at a time, and in this order for each channel: turn Vendoo’s automation off for it first, confirm Shopfront is handling it, then move the next one. Do not leave both tools automating the same channel while you check — that is the overlap this step exists to avoid. Keeping your Vendoo account open is fine; leaving it acting on a channel Shopfront has taken over is not.
Step 5: Cancel Vendoo
In this order:
- Download your CSV — sales, costs, fees and profit history. Do this while the account is still active.
- Turn Vendoo’s automation off for every channel Shopfront has taken over.
- Confirm Shopfront is listing and delisting on each of those channels.
- Then cancel.
Two things worth checking on the way out.
Vendoo’s visible pricing showed Starter at $14.99, Growth at $29.99 and Pro at $59.99 a month when we read it on 21 August 2026, all with unlimited items. The same pricing page still contained older metered tiers in its markup, so the plan you are actually on may not be the plan the current page advertises. Check what you are being billed for before you cancel, not after.
Timing matters, because Vendoo’s published policy is that customers are not eligible for a refund once they have begun using their allotted items for the month on a paid plan, and that annual plans are not refunded at all. If you are on an annual plan, there is no financial reason to rush the switch. Its trial is 14 days and requires a credit card, so if you signed up recently, check whether a charge has already landed.
Common snags
Facebook listings not going out. Facebook actions run through the Chrome extension in your browser rather than on a server. If the extension is not installed or the browser is closed, those actions wait.
An item sold on a marketplace you have already moved. This is the case for moving one channel at a time. If it happens, delist it manually on the other channels straight away rather than waiting for either tool to catch up.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to export my listings from Vendoo first?
Not for the listings. Shopfront reads them from the marketplaces directly. Do download Vendoo’s CSV before you cancel though — that holds your sales, costs and profit history, which nothing imports for you.
Which marketplaces can Shopfront import my existing listings from?
Four: eBay, Depop, Grailed and Shopify, with photos and details. Facebook Marketplace and Vestiaire Collective are list-only, so anything live there is rebuilt from your imported products.
What happens to my Poshmark, Mercari, Etsy and Whatnot listings?
They stay where they are. Shopfront does not list to those four, so it cannot replace Vendoo for them. If much of your revenue comes from them, stay on Vendoo.
Should I run Vendoo and Shopfront at the same time?
Keeping both accounts open is fine. Letting both automate the same marketplace is not — two systems delisting one listing is how an item gets pulled while it is still for sale. Turn Vendoo off per channel first.
What currency does Shopfront bill in?
US dollars. Vendoo prices in US dollars too, so it is not a difference between them, but a card issued elsewhere may add a conversion fee on either.
