Listalong is free, Australian, and does one job properly: it copies your eBay listings to Depop and keeps the pair in sync, so a sale on either side ends the matching listing on the other.

If eBay and Depop are your whole business, that is the correct tool and it costs you nothing. This guide is not trying to talk you out of that.

It is for sellers who have run out of room in two marketplaces. The Listalong details below were read from its own pages on 21 August 2026, and the sourced breakdown is on our Shopfront vs Listalong comparison.

The question is whether you need more than two marketplaces

Shopfront lists to six: eBay, Depop, Grailed, Shopify, Facebook Marketplace and Vestiaire Collective. Listalong reaches the first two.

So the four that matter are Grailed, Shopify, Facebook Marketplace and Vestiaire Collective. If none of them fits what you sell, there is no reason to pay for a tool that adds them. Stay where you are.

Where they do fit:

  • Grailed if you sell menswear, streetwear or archive pieces.
  • Vestiaire Collective if you sell designer resale.
  • Facebook Marketplace if you sell locally, or want a channel with no seller fees on the listing itself.
  • Shopify if you want your own storefront rather than only marketplace presence.

Two other differences worth naming honestly.

Listalong’s sync may be faster than ours. Its pages say a sale on either marketplace ends the matching listing on the other within minutes. Shopfront checks on a schedule set by your plan — from ten minutes to twelve hours. On a lower plan, Listalong wins that comparison, and if double-sell speed across exactly eBay and Depop is your main worry, that matters more than channel count.

Listalong has no AI, and does not need one. It copies the eBay listing you already wrote. Shopfront builds listings from photographs, which is useful when you are creating rather than copying — and irrelevant if your eBay listings are already good and you just want them mirrored.

What moves, and what does not

This is the cleanest migration of any tool in this category: both marketplaces Listalong works with are ones Shopfront imports from, so your active listings move without anything needing rebuilt by hand.

What does not move is everything that is not the listing itself — watcher counts, listing age, offers in flight, and whatever pairing records Listalong keeps between an eBay item and its Depop copy. Those belong to the marketplaces and to Listalong, not to the listing content, and no import carries them.

Step 1: Connect eBay and Depop

Connect both before importing, because the importer reads through those connections. Add Grailed, Shopify, Facebook Marketplace or Vestiaire Collective as you go — those are the channels you came for, but they are easier to judge once your catalogue is in.

Facebook Marketplace works differently from the others. It has no public API, so Shopfront dispatches each list and delist through a Chrome extension in your own browser rather than on a server, which means those actions need your browser open.

Step 2: Import from eBay

Shopfront imports live listings from eBay and Depop, with photos and details. There is no Listalong export to produce — Shopfront reads the marketplaces directly.

Import from eBay only. If you have been using Listalong, your Depop listings are copies of your eBay ones, so importing both would bring the same products across twice. That is the single most likely thing to go wrong here, and it is easy to avoid.

Try it on a small batch first. Import a handful and check them against what is live. Start your free trial — Listalong costs nothing to leave running while you do.

Step 3: List to the new channels

Your products are in Shopfront now, so adding Grailed, Shopify, Facebook Marketplace or Vestiaire Collective is a listing action rather than a rebuild.

Do this before you judge the switch. The four new channels are the entire reason to pay for a tool over a free one, so give them a few weeks and look at what actually sells. If nothing does, that is a clear answer and Listalong is still there.

Step 4: Turn Listalong’s sync off before Shopfront takes over

Listalong ends the matching listing when a sale happens on either side. Shopfront runs sale detection on every plan. Both pointed at the same eBay and Depop pair means two systems acting on one item.

Once you have confirmed Shopfront is handling the pair, disconnect your eBay and Depop accounts in Listalong — its own pages describe account disconnect controls as living in the app, so that is the action rather than hunting for a sync toggle. Check this first:

  • Every product you expected is in Shopfront, once — not twice.
  • Photos came across in order, with the right one first.
  • Prices match what is live now.
  • Sizes, brands and conditions survived. Spot-check ten rather than trusting a count.
  • Anything that failed to import has been dealt with rather than quietly dropped.

There is no subscription to cancel afterwards. Listalong is free with no access code, though its site notes that pricing may be introduced later.

For Australian sellers

This is one migration where the local detail genuinely matters, because Listalong is an Australian tool and its users are Australian sellers.

Depop dropped its seller fees here, but not every fee. Depop removed seller fees for Australian sellers on 22 July 2026, which changes where it is worth listing. Payment processing still applies, so a sale is not fee-free — on a $100 sale you keep roughly $97 rather than all of it. We worked through what the change actually leaves you with separately.

Not every marketplace operates here. Several crosslisting tools are built around Poshmark and Mercari, which do not trade in Australia. Our guide to crosslisting apps for Australian sellers goes through which ones actually do.

Billing is in US dollars. Shopfront plans are priced in US dollars rather than Australian ones, so expect a conversion fee from your card issuer. That is a real cost to weigh against a free tool.

Tax does not change because your tools did. If you are working out whether your selling counts as a hobby or a business, our Australian reseller tax guide covers the thresholds.

Common snags

Everything imported twice. Importing from both eBay and Depop when the Depop listings were Listalong copies of the eBay ones. Import from eBay only.

Facebook listings not going out. They run through the Chrome extension in your browser. If it is not installed or the browser is closed, those actions wait.

Slower delisting than you are used to. Shopfront checks on a plan-set schedule rather than continuously. If your plan sits at the slower end and you sell fast-moving items across eBay and Depop, that is a genuine step back from what Listalong gave you.

Frequently asked questions

Listalong is free. Why would I pay for Shopfront?

Only for marketplaces. Listalong copies eBay listings to Depop and keeps that pair in sync. Shopfront adds Grailed, Shopify, Facebook Marketplace and Vestiaire Collective, plus listing generation from photos. If eBay and Depop are your whole business, Listalong does that job and costs nothing.

Will my whole catalogue come across?

Yes, more cleanly than from any other tool. Shopfront imports live listings from eBay and Depop, which are exactly the two marketplaces Listalong works with, so nothing is left behind.

Is Shopfront’s sold-item sync as fast as Listalong’s?

Not necessarily. Listalong says a sale on either marketplace ends the matching listing on the other within minutes. Shopfront checks on a schedule set by your plan, ranging from ten minutes to twelve hours. On lower plans that is slower.

Do I have to cancel Listalong?

There is nothing to cancel — it is free. Do turn its sync off for eBay and Depop before Shopfront takes those channels over, so two tools are not delisting the same item.

Does Shopfront bill in Australian dollars?

No, plans are priced in US dollars, so an Australian card may add a conversion fee. Listalong is currently free, though its site says pricing may be introduced later.
